“Native Animal Softies”
School Holiday Fun at the Eco Stitch n Sew Hub!
The Project
Make and name a unique Owl or Koala Softie. Modified versions for younger attendees.
All instructors have a current WWC check.
Owl or Koala with options:
- Fabric Choices
- Pouch
- Stuffed or Floppy
- Key Ring attachment
- Claws
You will also receive a naming certificate on completion of your new best friend.
Participant Age and Skill Level
School children aged 5-17
Take home skills:
- Machine sewing on a line.
- Sewing on a button
- Repairing a torn seam.
- Reusing and repurposing fabric
- Softies are made from repurposed or reused materials – reducing land fill, increasing creativity.
Session Details
- Monday 13 April 10am – 1pm
- Thursday, 16 April 10am – 1pm
Sign in at 9:50am for a 10am start.

Cost
There is a payment of $10 to cover the cost of morning tea and materials.*
