Voices for Reconciliation 2026
In celebration of Reconciliation Week 2026, everyone is invited to come along to church this Sunday 31 May to hear the pop-up community choir sing Midnight Oil’s “Beds are Burning”

When we meet: Every Wednesday!
We are warm and friendly, and welcome new people. We meet every alternate Wednesday in the hall for board games, puzzles and chat, sharing morning tea and bringing a sandwich for lunch. On the other weeks we meet at a local cafe for morning or lunch.

April School Holiday Sewing Workshops
Event: 10am-1pm, 13 + 16 Apr, 2026 at Engadine Uniting Church.
Primary and secondary school students will be making an owl or koala “softie” using both hand and machine sewing techniques, under the guidance of the experienced volunteers of the Eco Stitch’n’nSew Hub
World Day of Prayer
Event: 10am, Friday 6th March
People from around Engadine and Heathcote gathered to celebrate the World Day of Prayer service together. This year, the service was been prepared by women in Nigeria, and was a great ecumenical event held in conjunction with International Women’s Day.

Peaceing Together at Christmas
Drop by the church noticeboard to view the completed community art project on the theme of “Peace”. It’s wonderful display of creative work.
Pop-up Textile Art Gallery
The Gallery popped up for the week of Mon 15th to Sun 21st Sept, for different hours every day in The Basement at Engadine Uniting Church.
Hosted by the Eco Stitch’n’nSew Hub, this national touring exhibition is on loan from the Australia Textile Arts and Surface Design Association for one week only, so drop in and say hello!
Sept-Oct School Holiday Sewing Workshops

Primary and secondary school students will be making 3 Christmas decorations using both hand and machine sewing techniques, under the guidance of the experienced volunteers of the Eco Stitch’n’nSew Hub

Fundraising Concert: 3-6pm, Saturday 27th September
Who doesn’t love an album launch on a spring afternoon? We enjoyed the solid harmony vocals created by songwriter/guitarist Malcolm and Peter, who provides backup flute and harmonica.
July School Holiday Sewing Workshops
Event: 10am-1pm, Thurs 10 July and Mon 14 July, 2025
Primary and secondary students keen on learning sewing skills had the opportunity to learn the sashiko method of mending and adorning clothes and to create a bag.
This is part of our Clothing the Loop series of events to address fabric waste by reusing, repurposing or recycling.
