Our usual services
Come and join us
We gather for worship for about an hour, matching our informal liturgy with good humour and a casual, relaxed atmosphere.
Congregational members play a key role in design and participation, structured around the Revised Common Lectionary which is used across denominations and the world. Our sermons, prayers and even the words of our hymns do not shy away from politics, economics and other current affairs.
We usually celebrate communion on the first Sunday of the month. In keeping with the practice of the Uniting Church in welcoming all to the table, we use grape juice and offer both bread and a gluten-free option.
Following the service we have morning tea in the hall where lively discussion of the service and the message often takes place.
Alert: Church is online
During lockdown, we gather in a zoom meeting for worship together in real time. You are welcome to join us, and have the option of phoning in to just listen to the service. Click here to join us on Sunday morning at 9am, or contact us for other ways to join.
We have an internal stairlift as an alternative to the external steps. Just to the left of the front steps you will find a street-level entry door which takes you to the stairlift. Ring the bell next to the door for assistance.
Fellowship and friendship
Seniors’ Social Group
In recess due to lockdown
Our senior’s social group meets on Wednesdays at 10am in the church hall for a cuppa and a chat. Jigsaw puzzles and board games are popular, and some members bring their knitting or other craft. Men come along as well! Sometimes we have a speaker. Everyone brings their own lunch and we enjoy another cuppa before going home.
Reflection and prayer
Take five minutes to conenct with yourself and God using this meditative video produced by congregation member Susan.
