Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals

Baptisms

Baptisms are celebrated during our regular morning services where our congregation makes promises to support the person being baptised as they are welcomed into a community of faith. We would love to hear from you if you are exploring issues around baptism as an adult or you are wanting to discuss baptism for your child.

Weddings

A wedding is a celebration of your love and commitment to each other which takes place before family, friends, and God. We include in the marriage a commitment from all gathered that they will support and love you as you build your relationship. In keeping with the Uniting Church’s inclusive response on many social issues, Engadine Uniting Church seeks to be a safe place for any couple who are considering getting married, whether that be in our church building or in the community regardless of their gender, relationship status or marital history.

Funerals

In the Uniting Church, a funeral is both a remembrance and a celebration of someone. We give thanks to God for the gift of the person and acknowledge that physical life is not the end. Our minister is available if you would like to talk about a funeral, and will work with you sensitively in preparing emotionally and spiritually for the service.
