The Season of Creation is a time when we come together in celebration, appreciation, conversation, and commitment to renew our relationship with our Creator and care for all creation.

On a very warm and slightly smoky September morning, we took a walk along several tracks in the Royal National Park at Grays Point to find and delight in the beauty of our local wildflowers.

Led by horticulturist, Cris Breitenbach, and her colleague Emma, we enjoyed an easy guided walk appreciating the beauty that surrounds us everyday but we don’t always find the time to stop to marvel. Cris and Emma not only had a Latin name for every flower we saw and were able to tell us about its preferred habitat and flowering pattern, but also kept us entertained with tales of seed gathering and propagation involving the use of bee-smokers and flame throwers to simulate natural conditions in the bush.
