Everyone is warmly invited to join the sewing group that meets monthly to help each with clothing repairs and upcycling sewing projects to help keep fabric out of landfill. Thanks to generous donations of equipment, we now have four sewing machines and an overlocker onsite, so you can even come along to learn how to sew! It’s also a time for socialising and afternoon tea. The group meets 2-5pm on Sunday 20th October; for any further enquiries, please email admin@engadine.unitingchurch.org.au or text Loraine on 0412 182 839.

The event is organised by members of Engadine Uniting Church and held in one of its halls but this workshop is secular in nature. The organisers find joy in sewing and are concerned about the amount of fabric waste. They wish to share their knowledge of sewing with others, to enable fabrics to be reused, repurposed and recycled.
