Disability and the Church
We welcome special guest Shane Clifton as he guides us through various ways of reading Mark 2:1-12, beginning with an approach that views disability as a deficit to be healed, through to more recent approaches that sees disability as more of an issue that we can all work together to address.
Shane has just returned to Sydney University after four years absence to sit on the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability, and is now at the Centre for Disability Research and Practice. He is also President of the Board of Directors, Spinal Cord Injuries Australia.
