Justice: Young People

Faith leads to action

As a congregation, we recognise the importance of the protection of children. We raise money to support child protection training in Timor Leste, and bring grocery items each Sunday to donate to Project Youth as they care for vulnerable youth across the Sutherland Shire and St George area.

We offer care and support to the staff of the Out of School Hours Care that operates on our premises, by assisting with activities as needed and bringing occasional baked treats. We write, march, and speak out on the greatest threat to the future of all children: climate change.

You can read some of our actions and reflections below.

Date: Sat 26th March
Time: 7.30-9.30pm

Relax and enjoy an entertaining, musical night of original blues/soul, jazz and folk music, sponsored by us. In the musical interval, hear stories about the young people helped by Project Youth, and help raise much-needed funds for the work of this independent Shire charity that supports vulnerable young people who need support services in housing.
